Rob Lowe, nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Behind the Candelabra, looked every bit the dashing Golden Globes’ nominee on Sunday.
Hairstylist, Jason Schneidman, of the Chris McMillan Salon, tells Life & Style how he created Rob’s look for the awards.
“I cut his hair a few days before the show, and we wanted to go for a style that wowed. We tried a traditional look, we tried just putting the front up, but it wasn’t until his final look that we really had the wow factor.”
With a brush from his own line, The Mens Groomer, Schneidman used a blow dryer to complete Lowe’s look which he described as “young and wild”.
Having perfected the “handsome and effortless” style for men, Schneidman has become a loyal stylist for many of Hollywood’s leading men, including Liam Neeson and Jonah Hill – who he also styled for the Globes.
He tells Life and Style, “The best part of the night was watching my boys on TV. I didn’t have to worry about Rob because I knew he had enough gel in his hair to hold it all night!”
