Thinning, balding and receding hair are a sensitive subject for dudes but I’m the Master at masking these problems. A hair stylist knowing what to do in that situation is not so common so I’m glad I’ve learned the skills to help my clients out.
Here are my 3 techniques that makes a huge difference –
Between the sides of the hair and the top of the head is the area where hair grows in the thickest. I call this the “Halo” and thinning this area out makes the top look thicker.
When cutting the top it’s important to find the perfect length where the hair looks the fullest. If the hair’s too long, it will separate and reveal the balding area.
Cutting the front to mask a receding hairline is key. If you achieve exactly the right balance, you’ve won the battle.
The guys I cut with thinning hair always tell me they can’t go anywhere else. And, at the end of the day, there’s nothing that makes me feel better than making someone feel good about themselves.
